Strange Object

Again today that strange object in the sky is out and oh yeah I love it.  Some tell me it’s called the sun and when it shines it warms up the outside enough to enjoy an afternoon on the deck.  They are right, we spent all afternoon outside yesterday and looks like we can do the same today!!!  YAHOO I love that strange object!!!!

Hubby took the pool cover off and clear, clean, sparkling water so not alot of work to bring the ph balance up to speed.  Last year UGH green , cloudy and one would never know there was a bottom to the pool, cause you couldn’t see it.  I even took my water in to be tested and it was all good.  They told me to just shock the hell out of it .  This year I won’t have to, just add a little and wait for the icy cold water to warm up.

We had been debating on extending the back deck to the pool and filling in over to the stairs to the pool.  Sat and figured out the cost and uh oh put that idea on hold for a bit.  So yesterday we are out there chatting and I was telling hubby it’s normally just me and mama out there.  Mama can’t get in the pool anymore, well I can’t get her in and out anymore, so she sits on the deck while I am in there.  Anyhow I just mentioned if we could extend part for now, she would be close, and I could get to her fast if need be.  That did it, hubby took off to Home Depot aka Degon’s store, and got the material.  He is so good like that, only wants to make things easier in the care for mama, and easier for me, you gotta love him.   So now we have the supplies we just need the time to get moving.  He only has two days a week off and normally it’s raining.  Yesterday he spent all afternoon putting the hoses on the pump, gluing them to make sure none leak, setting up the solar panels etc, and of course the trip to the store.  Bam before we knew it, it was chilly cause the sun went down, and time to grill our supper.  Where the hell does a day go anyway???!!!!!

My sweet niece (Kelly M) will be here on the 18th and if the deck isn’t started or done, yep she has offered to help out!!  Yeah us old farts out here need her young blood to get us in gear.  So I know at least the extention will be done when she is here!!!!  :)  Haha remember trying to hammer a nail putting up the frame for the solar panels Kelly? hahahahha MMMMM wonder how long it will take you to put a screw in the board on the deck?? hahahahahaha  Yeah good ol Uncle Ron had to come save her thumb and get that nail in!!!    Kelly and I just laugh at anything and everything when we are trying to do something so the deck building should prove interesting !!!  I bet hubby will be thinking of that and have most of it done prior to the 18th!!! haha.

I can’t even begin to express my excitement of Kelly coming out for a visit.  Dang it’s been over a year since she has been here!!  Mama’s 90th birthday party was the last time, a year ago last Feb, wow!!!  You are way over do girl!!!!  We do have fun together and have lots of laughs.  She is good for me you guys, hell she is good for anyone!!!   Come on April 18th!!!!
